Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary (ALMIS) is celebrating the completion of 20 years since its inauguration in 1986. Proud of our achievements and quite mindful of the boundless opportunities, we continue to establish new standards in academic excellence.

ALMIS has a current enrollment of 781students;638 are in O Levels and 143 pursuing A Levels.

At ALMIS, we aim to inculcate in our students a life-long passion for learning, and to mold them into self-directed learners. To facilitate this, we ensure the provision of resourceful libraries, where students are motivated to read, research and investigate.

In addition to our beautiful infrastructure, our well manicured gardens provide a pleasant and serene atmosphere, well suited to the process of teaching and learning.

Recognizing the pace at which technology is progressing, the school has modern computer rooms with Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) as an integral part of the curriculum. Our state-of-the-art science laboratories were recently renovated and are now adequately equipped for utilization by students.

We strongly believe that learning for each student should be challenging, interesting and achievable. Hence, ALMIS has embarked upon regular Professional Development sessions for teachers, gearing the use of innovative and contemporary methods of teaching. Our pupils are gradually shifting away from the traditional means of rote learning to the method of discovery, consistent with the British National Curriculum. The students have eagerly embraced this and their participation is overwhelming.

With the awareness that faith gives strength, peace and hope, we at ALMIS aim to inculcate in our students, the moral values and ideals of Islam, such as honesty, integrity, service to humanity, brotherhood etc. As part of our commitment towards the holistic development of the learner, we ensure the presence of several extra curricular activities.

Throughout their years at ALMIS, career counseling services are offered to both students and parents, in order for them to reach enlightened and informed decisions. It is our goal to produce graduates who are socially responsible citizens, and also possess valuable leadership qualities that will enable them succeed in an increasingly competitive and globalized world. To attain this, we are continuously striving to strengthen the tri-partite relationship between the school, students and parents.

The future is assuring, as we endeavor to take on new challenges. We will continue to modernize our facilities, improve our methods of delivery, and be sensitive to the demands of the stakeholders – the parent and the child. Our attention and energy shall be entirely devoted to the child.
As the adage goes: If you plan for ten years, plant a tree; if you plan for generations, educate a child.
We are planning for generations!
