PRIMARY EDUCATION
The Primary education at Al Muntazir
is divided into Lower School and Upper School.
The lower schools are set in a structured but
relaxed environment where children are allowed
to develop socially, emotionally, physically
and intellectually. This is done through small
groups or individual teaching. There is more
focus on field trips, workshops. The Upper school
offers a rich and comprehensive program that
provides the necessary knowledge and skills
to students to prepare for secondary education.
NECTA EDUCATION (Secondary
Education)
NECTA (National Examination Council for Tanzania)
was established by the local government as a
basis for Secondary Education including O Levels
and A Levels. It allows Tanzanian Schools to
study a syllabus set by NECTA and sit for NECTA
Examinations (National Examinations). Currently
Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary is phasing out
of NECTA in O Levels and replacing the system
with Cambridge. However, NECTA is still existing
in A Levels. Despite the change in structure,
the academic supervisors of the school ensure
there is a smooth transition from Cambridge
to NECTA.
CAMBRIDGE IGCSE
The Cambridge International Examinations offer
several qualifications including the IGCSE that
is equivalent to O Levels studies. It is the
world’s most popular international qualification
for 14 – 16 yr olds. It develops students
and gives them excellent preparation for the
next level of education. It is also recognized
by Universities and Employers worldwide. At
the Seminary, Cambridge is now the official
syllabus for O Levels including subjects like
Accounting, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry,
Mathematics, English – Second Language,
Islamic Studies, Information Technology and
so on.
