Welcome to Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary Counseling Department

NAME: MS. THERESIA ALOYCE
BACHELOR OF COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGY, TUMAINI UNIVERSITY-IRINGA
DipEd (KLERRUU TTC),

As a school counselor for over four years, and six years of teaching experience in public and private schools since 2005, I have been able to observe and learn different needs of students. Among many, academic achievement has been a primary concern of every responsible student. To get there, students need a good deal of social, personal and career development programs to make their education meaningful. My counseling and guidance skills and techniques are centered on the belief that every child is unique, which encourages me to wake up every morning anticipating positive outcomes from my everyday interactions with them.

My desired impact is to see a community of youths/students who are able to make their personal, social, academic and career plans and who work to achieve them. I believe that this is a holistic liberation. Because of that and my personal need to improve professionally, I aspire to be more skilled, more competent and more empathic to bridge the gap through trainings and further studies. These qualities will help me work better and effectively with secondary school students, so that they realize and utilize their full potentials as students and humans.
